The Retail Business Manager has the primary responsibility to drive retail performance within their designated portfolio. Duties and Responsibilities
Sales and Financial Management
  • Review and approve rosters for each door, ensuring forecasted wage budgets are not exceeded
  • Directing the daily operations of a retail store in order to maximize profit and minimize costs.
  • Guide and coach Store/Counter Managers to manage controllable expenses and drive profitability
  • Conduct regular reviews of stores / counters, documenting any actions or issues
  • Oversee store stocktakes to ensure they are conducted in a timely and effective manner
  • Determines the quantity of products or brand that should be supplied to various stores using sales figures.
  • Develop strategies to increased profits in coordination with Marketing Team
  • Set sales targets and implement action plans for achieving set objectives.
  • Review weekly sales and product performance to identify opportunities to increase sales
Customer Experience and Brand Management
  • Educate all team members on Aesop’s approach to customer service and consultations
  • Ensure all team members uphold and demonstrate Aesop’s approach to customer service and consultations
  • Build and maintain relationships within local community
  • Ensure all team members understand and meet Aesop’s dress and grooming standards
  • Liaise with store managers to set up a visually appealing layout for store merchandise.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints.
People Leadership and Development
  • Recruit team members(managers, consultants) that reflect the culture and values of Aesop
  • Ensure new team members are formally monitored through probation period
  • Regularly meet with Store/Counter Managers to review performance and development of team
  • Manage employee turnover by contributing to a positive, harmonious and stimulating work environment
Communication and Administration
  • Maintain effective, regular and Aesop appropriate communication with team and colleagues
  • Conduct regular and structured meetings with internal & external stakeholders to collectively review performance, identify
    opportunities, obtain feedback, implement actions, consider relocation & margin & new openings
  • Communicates with store heads to update them on recent developments, such as price change

Purpose of the Role

We currently seek a dedicated and passionate Retail Consultant to work within our Aesop Philippine stores. The successful applicant will have flexible availability, and may be required to work weekends.

  • Previous experience within retail, with products requiring specialist knowledge and demonstration-based sales techniques.
